Holes Used in PCB: Blind Hole/Via

Blind Via refers to a hole that can be seen on one side of the surface but not on the other side. It is a hole that connects the internal and external layers of the PCB, but does not connect all layers.

They only function on one side of the PCB and are used to connect signal transmission between specific layers. Blind holes can reduce the complexity of wiring on the board, improve signal integrity, and save space. Blind holes are commonly used in high-density interconnects and multi-layer PCB designs, such as smartphones, tablets, etc. Blind holes are usually laser holes.
